Nendaz for beginners

Beginners rating -

Perfect
Nendaz offers a warm welcome to beginners with its easy blue runs at Tracouet. The resort is a part of the 4 Valleys, so there's room for progression onto longer blues. Just keep an eye on the clock; the return path can get crowded towards the end of the day. The Beginners' Park at Tracouet and the gentler terrains in the sunny plateaux of the Tracouet bubble and the Thyon zone complete the package.

The resort is a paradise for intermediate skiers, offering challenging red runs like the one from Plan-du-Fou to Siviez. The new Prarion-Plan du Fou gondola makes commuting easier and faster. The Printze Sector adds to the appeal with its quieter terrains and a wide network of 50 lifts across Veysonnaz, Thyon, and Siviez, offering a fulfilling skiing experience.

Though Nendaz itself offers fewer options for experts, the terrains above Verbier provide an adrenaline rush. These itineraries are avalanche-controlled but not patrolled, so caution is advised. The Tortin is a high point, challenging even for the seasoned skiers.

Seven marked freeride zones, including Eteygeon, Plan-du-Fou, and Mont-Gele, offer varied and exciting terrain. The descent from Mont-Fort is another highlight, featuring both steep gradients and less-traveled valley runs.
